As the Encourage New Legalized Immigrants to Start Training (ENLIST) Act, authored by Representative Jeff Denham, reached 200 co-sponsors, New American Economy President John Feinblatt issued the following statement:
“We know that foreign-born military personnel contribute important language and vocational skills to the U.S. military,” said John Feinblatt, President of New American Economy. “That’s why even in today’s era of extreme partisanship, the ENLIST Act has amassed 200 co-sponsors from both sides of the aisle. We stand by them and strongly support giving legal status to the immigrant patriots who answer the call to serve and help keep our country safe and secure.”
