Following President Trump’s speech on Saturday, January 19, New American Economy issued the following statement:
“Americans want a secure border and immigration reform that provides permanent protections for Dreamers and Temporary Protected Status holders,” said John Feinblatt, President of New American Economy. “Today’s proposal falls short. Protections that are only temporary in exchange for a border wall that members of Congress from both parties think is ineffective and wasteful is not a deal that can be taken seriously.”
